I too have zero use for his music but that has been the case for me for most superbowl halftime shows. So that is me, not enjoying it at all, but not denying his world-wide popularity, not giving a shit one way or the other, then having someone get all the butthurt and then projecting it on me! I have done nothing but support Gene and appreciate his contribution for years and would continue to do so! I only participated in the superbowl pool to support him. All I did was comment with facts that the artist we both dislike (for vastly different reasons) was actually world famous and not a "lesser known artist" despite us both disliking him. Then he lost his shit, started calling people faggots like an ignorant teenager, escalated it to a projection that Hive is dead, and went on the attack.
If I didn't appreciate, I wouldn't have supported the fun contest. If I had have wanted to run a contest, I would have for the fun of it and not been insulted if people didn't gush appreciation on me.
Imagine going from supportive friend to passive aggressive target for pointing out one thing? Doesn't make sense to me and I am just as happy to go fuck myself as instructed.
