Reflecting On My Digital Virtual world

in Digital Lifestyle29 days ago (edited)

Modernization has brought the existence of different virtual digital lifestyle, whereby we all choose to live the lives we have dreamed of virtually even though it’s not real. Although the Digital Virtual World has so many barriers and limitations I will still prefer my virtual identity over reality because am like a War General who never loses a battle. A Virtual identity Means to identify someone through social media or a network channel.

People online tend to portray themselves very differently than In the Real world, I am a graduate of human kinetics, and I like relationships and friendships even though sometimes I see it’s not real. Physical socializing helps to improve our ability to recover from stress, physical activities, and a lot more. Having the act to physically socialize comes with lots of benefits, whereby people or friends can monitor your health and stimulate inspiration for creative new ideas.

Living in a virtual world we will also need some physical social to avoid cases of depression and lack of real-life friends. The virtual world can also affect our health or motion sickness, whereby we will be lazy to any performance of activities around us. Virtual World comes with a high cost of demands and distractions.

In General, regardless of the implications the virtual world can have on my Finances, health, or social life, I will still prefer the virtual world for so many reasons. Virtual World helps to relate with friends from different angles of the world and joke together. I know of some Australian, Philippine, and UK friends I knew through a virtual world and we still go to war games together.

About My Virtual Identity

One major problem I have with the virtual world is how people lie bout their identity just to meet the standard. I am very neutral so I don’t cover up my identity. In the virtual world, everyone is free to put different identities which is the major problem we have till date now. I have seen a twelve-year-old boy claiming to be 18 years old when playing a game I was able to identify him through his voice and video call. This is one of the major problems of virtual identity a lot of fake people. That’s why it’s hard in some countries to look for a job virtually or with a virtual identity.

My Virtual identity world is centered around Gaming most especially war games and Occupational communities relating to We Development. As a graduate in search of a job, I see no reason to risk my career to fake an identity maybe to impress anyone or anything. I sometimes engage myself with some social community in which I am regarded as a Lover of women, because of how I love playing with them. Situations like this make me have good thoughts and keep me away from thoughts of depression or negativity.

The Major problem from my experience I have with virtual identities is the act of Privacy of account. In some Social Communities anyone everyone can view and see your profile ages and everything about you. I don’t like this categorization, as an existence a lot of individuals lie about their age and identity some even lie about their countries just to be alone.
If there is a breach in your privacy your details or personal secret can be leaked out from it.

In conclusion, the virtual world has so many negative impacts on people who identify virtually but is still important to us because of some of the things we love to do virtually. I enjoy playing War zone games and watching movies and I have met a lot of people virtually from this. People should be aware of the positive impact of virtually identy and Fake virtual profiles should not be tolerated.

Thank You Digital Lifestyle 😊

I remember a post I saw years ago. It read "while you are telling lies online about who you are, remember there are people who know you in reality" 😂

Even though the life one portrays online may be different from that of reality, too much lies online could eventually affect the reality. Rather, I'll choose a balance between both worlds.

Online, I am who I want people to know me as, but not as much different as what I am in real life.

Nice write up, brother.

Exactly, I do tell some people I play games with online that there is no need of faking your identity regardless of the Country you come from, Be you, Be yourself, you the better version of yourself and one one else. Thank you 😊

I believe that whether virtual or real life, just keep it real. Everything turns out well in the long run as long as you are real.

An insightful post Mike 👍

LEO Power Up Day - May 15, 2024

Virtual life is sweet but the level at which people are turning it into fake life is becoming alarming.

Very very alarming. I enjoy virtual life than real life

I'll prefer to retain my real identity inspite of the radical changes in the digital space though.

Exactly, Medemausi you are the best version of yourself regardless of online or real life

I have made a few friends over games on the internet like Call of Duty Mobile and Chess. It didn't go deeper than that, though. There's so much that can be harnessed with a well-built virtual identity these days, but we're physical after all...

I'm curious. How long would you say you spend on online every day?

You are Right sir, even though we spend most of our time on the virtual world we will still need to engage in physical activities like eating, social relations and lots more. But I enjoy being online than physical world, maybe cause of how everything and everyone around me have made the thought in that perspective.

I prefer virtual work than physical
I prefer Virtual social relationships than physical
I prefer virtual learning than physical.

I can't really tell much of a time I spend online everyday but I am sure of 70% of my days are online Depending on my task at hand.
