I never understood the importance of emails when I was young, too, so, I hardly check what's going on there. Even now, my sis would always scold me to always check my emails in case there's any important stuff to check. I have missed appointments because I decided to mute my notifications until recently, I turned it on and I only check the ones that are important while ignoring the rest and most times, clear them off immediately.
