It would be awesome to meet you but the trip up North is a long one, I know because I've been to London and back far too many times - often in a day for work! Look out for weekly updates I'm evolving the plans all the time and I would really like to get as many of our UK Hivers together as possible.
At some point there should be a big UK meetup, but it won't be this year.
