Four months ago we started a new project, to analyze the economic profitability of agriculture, that's why I have already mentioned in previous occasions that we have a greenhouse in a small field outside my city.
This project has become my biggest hobby for now, because I am 4/7 days in this place, inside the greenhouse watching the growth of the plants, to remove the weeds, to apply fertilizer and chemical treatments against pests and many other things.
After this time I have learned too many things, to dose the poison for the irrigation of the plants, to calculate the exact or approximate amount that the plants need of nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus and other chemical elements. I learned about the viruses that can have some fruits and many other things that later I will tell in a post that I am preparing, where everything is in detail, what I have learned and my experience here.
The simplicity and humility of this place is incredible, obviously being a countryside away from the cities, life here is a little quieter, in every sense, with practically no crime, more freedom for children, less risk of covid and other factors. Here the children of lower ages are much more awake than most of those in the city, and much more independent, my family on my mother's side is from the countryside and maybe that's why I love these places.
So in these 4 months practically living with my cousin, his wife and kids, they have become my second close family, it is my second home, just like my wife's family. The people I have met are incredible and I have learned from all of them, advice, teachings, and many more things, so this experience has given me new things in every way.
I think I have a lot of things to tell and share, unfortunately time has not helped me, and also that in this site there is no internet to make a post from there, but all this time has been very productive for me, we finally made our first homegrown, we plan to expand a little more and we have other goals in mind.
My stay here has made me go back to my younger self, where I can play and practice sports, where I can meet new people and really know that they are amazing, definitely my second home for many more years.
I will prepare a few things before returning to the field, and I want to do it as quickly as possible.
