Hello, coffee lovers.
The other day I ran into a couple of friends and we were looking for a place to sit and chat quietly and escape the oppressive Havana heat. As it happened, they had passed by the cafeteria that opened for students at the University of Havana, so we headed there.
The place is air-conditioned and designed to be multipurpose, as it has a stage, a projection screen, a sound system, and also functions as a gallery.
Since it was my first time there, I asked the barista to recommend the best coffee. Unfortunately, they didn't have cappuccino, but she did offer me this café bombón.
The coffee was delicious, I won't lie. Of course, anything with chocolate and crunchy chocolate chips tastes good.
Too bad it was only half a cup 😃. I wanted more... and that's a good thing, right?
That's why I ordered two more after this one.
My friends ordered Frappuccinos. If I didn't prefer hot coffee, I would have ordered one of those.
They tasted really good (they gave me a taste) and they looked amazing. Aesthetics are very important in these cases.
The Frappuccino is undoubtedly the prettiest coffee in the university cafeteria.
As I mentioned, the cafeteria is designed to function as a gallery for students of ISDI (Higher Institute of Industrial Design).
They created this exhibition inspired by cage and used it to decorate the cafeteria walls.

Good coffee, friendly service, and a university atmosphere eager for a place to relax or study, just like at home. That's what coffee does; it makes you feel at home.

Hola, amigos del café.
El otro día me encontré con una pareja de amigos y buscamos un lugar para sentarnos a conversar con calma y espacar del agobiante calor habanero.
Casualmente ellos habían pasado por la cafetería que abrieron para los estudiantes en la Universidad de la Habana; y para allá nos fuimos.
El local es climatizado y pensado para que funcione de modo multipropósito, ya que tiene un escenario, pantalla para proyectar, equipo de sonido y también como galería.
Como era mi primera vez allá, le pedí a la barista que me recomendara el mejor café. Lamentablemente no había capuchino, pero sí me ofreció este café bombón.
El café estaba rico, no les voy a mentir. Claro, cualquier cosa con chocolate y chips de chocolate crujiente, sabe rico.
Lástima que solo era la mitad de la taza 😃. Quería más... y eso es bueno, ¿verdad?
Por eso pedí dos más, después de este.
Mis amigos lo que pidieron fue frapuchino. Si no fuera porque prefiero el café caliente, hubiera pedido uno de esos.
La verdad es que sabían muy bien (me dieron a probar) y se veía súper. La estética es muy importante en estos casos.
El frapuchino es sin duda, el café más lindo de la cafetería universitaria.
Tal y como les había dicho, la cafetería está pensada para que funcione como galería para los estudiantes del ISDI (Instituto Superior de Diseño Industrial).
Ellos crearon esta exposición inspirada en el cagé y con ella decoraron las paredes de la cafetería.
Buen café, buen trato y un ambiente universitario ávido de un lugar donde relajar o estudiar, tal y como si estuvieran en casa.
Es que el café tiene eso, te hace sentir como en casa.

Yes it is good. But, of course, it's a university cafeteria. So don't expect a Michelin restaurant.

Pero si quieren algo más lindo, que vayan al Miau café, en Línea y 12, un café literario. De ese café pondré fotos mañana

What a lovely university café experience i like how the place is not just for coffee but also a space for art studying and relaxing. The café bombón looks really delicious too even if it is just half a cup Sometimes the simplest drinks are the most satisfying...
Is caramel macchiato available there? It's my favorite. 😍
