Ever tried to escape from an overwhelming situation only to be trapped in the end?
Take me back to December 2022 when I had loads of projects to complete being a fashion designer and I sought a refuge because I was overwhelmed.
Aside from music, coffee intake has always been my way of staying grounded when I feel overwhelmed because for some reason it helps me to relax, and rejuvenate and I meditate during my coffee rituals.
You know during the festive period, I needed to stay agile, up and alert even during the night time to finish up so many pending clothes so as not to disappoint my clients.
That fateful day, I had made plans to cut a certain amount of fabrics and then sew a certain amount too, so like I always do, I started my day with a cup of coffee and began my project.
I had cut all the clothes and headed to my sewing machine to begin sewing but mahn, I felt tired along the line and needed to feel relaxed again, so I made my way to my coffee jar because the coffee was my only companion at that moment and before I knew it I had downed two more cups of coffee.

I intended to boost my energy and stay alert to finish up my goals for the day, well it worked for a little because I felt energized to continue sewing until suddenly, my head began to ache, then my palm became sweaty and shaky and I had this tingling feeling under my feet.

Since I was having a headache I went ahead to take paracetamol, little did I know I had now added fuel to the fire, I started to feel like I was going to pass out as my head was lightheaded already.
"What could be the problem?" I tried so hard to figure out but I had no idea all of these were because I was over caffeinated. I tried so hard to fall asleep, just maybe when I woke up I'd feel good again but then I couldn't fall asleep, I was trapped in between restlessness and confusion!
The whole thing started to make me feel uneasy and anxious, soon I felt like throwing up, and that was when it hit me that I had taken too much caffeine that day, my whole day was messed up.

I began to make a constant effort to consume enough water to flush out the caffeine in my system and after a while, I took a small quantity of herbal tea and walked around my office.
I felt a bit relieved after a few hours but by then, I had already lost out on the precious time I would have used to make those outfits a reality, haha too much of everything is bad, I learned this that day.
Since then, I've been very mindful of my caffeine intake and I try so hard not to pass my limit for the day.

These were some horrible symptoms, and it was a mistake to take the paracetamol.
I'm pleased to know that you're more mindful of how much caffeine you take. Moderation is best.
Lovely photos:)
Moderation is best, that's right. Thank you for the warm visit.
Thank you for having me.
Girl you were quite lucky because such combination could have landed one in a hospital.
Thankfully, you are now more knowledgeable about your body's caffeine requirement.
Yeah, thank God I could control the situation. Thanks for stopping by.
You are welcome 🤗
Wow!!! I love your work as a fashion designer, anything that inspires creativity is fine with me. I also try not to exceed my daily limit with the amount of coffee, although some days are more difficult than others
Moderation is key, thanks for stopping by.
Absolutely I have the same situation and a cup of coffee is my savior...
Good to hear, thank you for the warm visit.
You need to go on a Thanksgiving ceremony because the overloaded coffee would have landed you either in the hospital or grave. Thank God for everything.
Yeah, Glad it was under control. Thank you for coming around.

Do you know that Same thing happened to me, like I lost consciousness and was rushed to the hospital and the doctor said that there was a lot of caffeine in my body but still I don't think I can really stop taking coffee tho just a cup in a day now #dreemerforlife
Thanks for stopping by.
Thank you for thanking me.
With this reaction, imagine if you go and take what people usually take to stay active, then hospital direct. Lol😂
Lol, you gerrit🤣
I have a sensitivity to caffeine but need to have some caffeine every day or my sensitivity increases. I don't drink coffee so I tend to have a Green Cola every day - gives me a nice hit of caffeine when I need it! I once had too much caffeine and ended up with palpitations, and yes feeling lightheaded, sweaty, and wanting to pass out. Not fun! Relatable story, Amie. I hope you never have to go through that again! 🙏

Yeah, I hope I never go through that again too I've learned that moderation is key. Thank you Sam for coming around.❤
That's exactly why moderation is important in everything. Glad you eventually got better and also learned more about your body.
