In the spirits of looking for some new places to have coffee, we went over to the new location of Hato Grill located at Cumaná Mall. We are still missing our dear panetteria, but things have to keep moving forward.
The place was taken from an older food place that worked by seeling lunch by weight. That older place had also a coffee spot. So they only rebranded and started selling the same things.
We sat down to get two small coffees. The latte was ok, but a little bit two sweet. It tasted like it was made with powdered milk. But that is just a taste impression. The espresso was the disappointment. I do not know if people do not trend to clean their filters. So the coffee was quite acidic. I understand strong coffee has acid notes, but it is not the dominant flavor over others. I might be wrong.
So the quest for new coffee places is still going on. And we might not find one yet, but we will not stop looking. I did not even date to try another coffee since the last time I had a mokaccino, I did not like it. Too sweet for my taste.
We will keep looking the best option for having our coffee dates. Maybe the new place that will be built on top of the our old spot will have some of the people that used to make the coffee just as we liked it. We can only hope.
