Welcome to the Best of the Beanies, a curation compilation of some of the top stories from this week's Spill The Beans Creative Writing Prompt.
These authors gave us some amazing content, and we would like to highlight them with the hope that you will take a look and perhaps vote for the post or leave a comment, or a tip for the authors.
Our pick of the top stories covered all the elements of what creative writing involves, and is in keeping with community standards. These authors showed personality and took great pride in creating an epic story that got the judges hooked and wanting more.
The Best of the Beanies, in no particular order - they were all so good!

The boy looked at her shyly and immediately smiled, Nancy repudiated those demonstrations of cynicism, cursed inheritance of the progenitor, but deep down she could not help but feel relieved. She looked at him coldly and ordered him to go to the house, they walked together under the rain that began to fall softly, Frank took Nancy's hand, he squeezed it tightly. They both knew that when they crossed the door of the house she would beat him to silence the voices of her failure, he would not cry to frustrate her attempts to harm him and take revenge on her. Then they would sit together in the kitchen and have a cup of coffee, pretending to forget what happened, until next time.

She knew that dreams were notoriously difficult to forge into reality, but she was determined. The place was an unhinged disaster; she decided to deal with it as if it were a puzzle box and, naturally, in her mind, the only thing puzzles needed was a solution.

He rubbed his hands together to ail the chill of the evening and was craving a hot cup of coffee as he waited for the bus back home. Right that instant a strong, rich aroma of coffee created a sillage that mesmerized...."No," thought Mr. Reynolds sitting by the window now. "No, I was not mesmerized. I was Intoxicated, it must have been."

Every night I watched from afar, every night I saw her smile, and how she touched her beautiful hair, I wanted to get closer, to get closer to steal a kiss from her. Sometimes we get carried away by our desires, sometimes our instincts move without us thinking very well or rationally.

A small explosion sounds, my eyes are dazzled with a glow of all colors, in my hands appears a gumball. WHAT? What did I do wrong?
I repeat the procedure, with more excitement, with more energy. I hear the explosion, the glow and a cup appears... but full of water! No... I want coffee! I'm almost whimpering like a little girl.

This small group was chosen to take a shipment of coffee to the center of the country, but circumstances did not seem to favor them. If they didn't think of something soon, they were all going to die.
The Magic Labyrinth by @irvinc
Peter turned it on and started down. At the bottom was a gleaming wooden door on which was pasted a sign with a strange inscription: If you go through it all your problems will be solved, but you may not know how to get back...
That inscription increased Peter's curiosity, he hesitated, he was afraid, but in the end something in his heart told him that he had to dare, that everything would be all right...

Hope was the granddaughter of a great historian. She learned everything her grandfather taught her and among all the knowledge she inherited from the man who raised her, she learned the secrets of the Ethiopian dynasty, the origin of the first coffee trees in history. Her grandfather found the machine of eternal youth that worked with Ethiopian coffee and Hope had been working for years in the museum planning the perfect way to extract the key that would change her life forever and give her eternal youth.
How not to Interview for a Spy Job by @lordtimoty
Bronwen was the kind of woman who always seemed perplexed. It wasn’t so much that she was unable to understand the world around her, but more that unusual things just seemed to happen to her. She liked to eat cheese sandwiches, and she always insisted on having dessert on a Sunday night and while she would never be able to pinpoint when such curious happening began to happen to her, she was sure it all began in 1994, not long after her 7th birthday.
