New Toys Wacaco minipresso NS2

in Cinnamon Cup Coffee11 months ago

Well Hivers I’m off on my travels again and not looking to the coffee in Malaysia again. The locals seem to like their coffee very sweet and with out sugar the local brews can be a bit bitter so finding a convenient way to make my own espresso was very handy.

Wacaco minipresso NS2 Is a handy little gadget I got mine with the optional carry case.

Which holds the minipresso and a selection of Nespresso pods.

Using the gadget couldn’t be simpler just remove the cup and unscrew the bottom to fit a coffee pod.

Screw the bottom back on take off the lid and fill with hot water refit the lid tightly then release the pump to pressurise the coffee maker.

The first few pumps build up pressure to burst the foil on the pod then coffee flows. It’s not hard and easy to pump one handed once the coffee is flowing. You get a good size espresso which is strong enough to water down with hot water for full cup if that’s what you want. So that’s my morning coffee sorted for the next few weeks

Cleaning the minipresso is simple to just unscrew the bottom to remove the used Nespresso Pod and rinse out the bottom, all the water is pumped through so hot water tank is completely empty.

I used it for the first time on the flight to KL made a great change to the usual dish water instant you get on flights and all you need from the cabin staff is a cup of hot water.

So there you are Hivers probably the best travel coffee gadget I’ve bought in ages
With the travel case it was a few pounds short of £100 direct from the Wacaco website and took about 4 days to arrive. The are a fraction more expensive on Amazon but you do get free next day delivery with Prime. It may seem expensive but it’s very well made and does make a great espresso.

Hey there!
I think that's an amazing gadget for travelling. Especially since you do not miss out on your regular Nespresso Coffee.
It's great that it's easy to maintain too.
I'm positive that this product will gain popularity.

There is a version that you can use ordinary ground coffee that may be better suited to long term travel as you can't always get pods

Ah, I see. Ordinary ground sounds good too. I guess the challenge would be to have the same consistency with each cup of coffee, as the pods.

Yep it may take a bit of experimenting

Wow, I'm impressed! Or should I write expressed. LOL A machine for pods without electricity. Impressed, as I've written. Well, I can do good coffee a lot easier with a small camping stove, but not on a plane. LOL Nice to know now there is something like that available. Not long and may have some other gadget no one ever thought about being possible. Thaks for sharing! !invest_vote

The cup of hot water on the flight from the stewardess was more than enough and plenty hot enough probably had a better coffee than first class.

Such a small device can make practical coffee. Truly, this era has greatly facilitated something that used to be so difficult.

It’s the best practical portable espresso maker I’ve found. I know there are a lot of reasons people don’t like pods but for practicality and quality they are hard to beat.
