Hello to my friends on Hive, fellow bloggers, and the Cinnamon Cup Coffee community. I'm excited to make my first post in this community. Recently, I stayed at a resort in Varadero, Cuba with my family and girlfriend. We had a great time enjoying cultural events and taking in the local cuisine. The hotel met all of our expectations, providing a comfortable place to rest and relax.

There was something at the hotel that exceeded our expectations greatly. It was the lobby café named "Bar Piano", which served excellent drinks of many colors and flavors. Their strongest point, however, was the delicious coffee that they made with care and love.

I recall the first night we left a great cultural performance. Maybe it was late and we didn't fully enjoy it. My girlfriend and I agreed to grab a good cup of Cuban coffee. It was a surprise that the coffee we ordered was not what we expected. The woman who served us said it was American style- meaning it was less concentrated and more diluted than espresso. This caused a bit of confusion since people have different coffee preferences.

Essentially, the coffee was not Cuban- it was not as strong and bitter as Cuban coffee. He said there are different ways to prepare coffee. For instance, there is Cappuccino, which is coffee with hot milk, milk foam, and a little chocolate powder. There is cortadito, which is Expresso with powdered milk. Another option is Machiatto, which is Expresso with milk foam. Finally, there is Irish, which is coffee with whiskey, whipped cream, and sugar. However, Irish coffee was not part of the deal and had to be purchased separately. Therefore, we couldn't taste it.

After we were ready to order, my girlfriend and I exchanged glances. I suggested we order something light since we needed to wake up early tomorrow. It’s our first day here and let's not complicate things. I turned to the waitress and asked for two cappuccinos on the side.

She promptly offered to show us to our seats. While we waited, we drank sparkling water to soothe the discomfort of overeating at the buffet.

Our midnight coffee arrived, which had already delighted our sense of smell, in search of that roasted bean that was being ground. Placing the fragrant beverage on the table, its aroma enveloped us like a warm embrace, inviting us to indulge in its delicious flavor. The perfectly sculpted milk foam's beauty was a work of art, with its silky smooth texture pleasing to our eyes. The cocoa powder, sprinkled gently on top of the froth, adds a hint of sweetness to the blend.

Our fingers grip the hot ceramic edge, as my tongue tastes the first sip of the cappuccino. The creamy milk taste blends perfectly with the strong coffee, creating a harmony on my palate. The exquisite drink's magic lies in combining the strong coffee and smooth milk.

The taste was amazing. I appreciate the woman who prepared it, she must know the recipe well. I appreciate the woman who prepared it, she must know the recipe well. However, it didn't end there. It was surprising to see a person her age act like that.

She wasn't just a skilled worker. Maybe because it was late and there weren't many people in the big bar, she tried to connect with the impressed guests. I appreciate the woman who prepared it, she must know the recipe well. The young lady made our experience unforgettable by taking us on a cappuccino tour. She explained that cappuccino originated from the cappuccino monks in 17th-century Italy. They included this delicious and steaming drink in their daily diet. She varies the recipe based on the guests' origin, serving those from North America a milder version with less coffee. And for those with European ancestry, a more potent and robust version is available. She even incorporates flavors like vanilla, cinnamon, or caramel to enhance the taste.

We were completely grateful for this delightful and surprising experience. We went to sleep to rest up and fully enjoy the experience.

I'm not a coffee drinker, at least not that regularly, but there's no denying that it's a delicious drink, I don't like it as sweet or as bitter, I guess I'm complicated 😂.
