Hello, dear friends!
I'm glad to write a post to this cozy community again to share my impressions of visiting the Crimean Tatar Restaurant Musafir, where I had lunch with my friends yesterday over a cup of aromatic coffee with cardamom. ☕
Restaurant Musafir is located in the very heart of Kyiv and is very popular among guests of the Ukrainian capital. Traditional Crimean Tatar dishes and traditional Crimean Tatar coffee are prepared here.
The cozy atmosphere of the restaurant and the always delicious, freshly prepared food give a feeling of home. I also very much like the design of this restaurant, as it follows the style of the ancient Crimean Tatar town of Bakhchisarai. As you can see in the photos, carpets, ceramic plates on the walls, and special cushions for sitting have traditional ornaments of Eastern cultures.
Yesterday, there were many guests and reserved tables on the first floor, so my friends and I went up to the second floor, where it was free and spacious.
Since we were in no hurry (it was raining outside), we ordered some traditional Crimean Tatar dishes. So, I ordered the Merdjimek (traditional Crimean Tatar vegetarian lentil soup), served with lemon and crouton, and the traditional Crimean Tatar Chebureki with milk brynza cheese, served with yogurt.
And, оf course, I ordered coffee with a bit of cardamom and a traditional Crimean Tatar dessert, Fultu (apple pie). Since among the Crimean Tatars, making coffee is a special ritual, they will never bring you this fragrant drink in a cup, only in a cezve with which you already pour coffee into a cup yourself.
Perfect food, great coffee, and impeccable service!
Pleasant Crimean Tatar music sounded in the restaurant, and hospitality was enveloped by an invisible veil of love for guests. Summer rain was falling outside the window, and for a moment I was flooded with memories of family summer trips to the Crimea, which we had before 2014. I hope that soon the time will come when I will visit Musafir in Bakhchisarai again.
If you happen to be lucky enough to visit Kyiv, I highly recommend this authentic place. Thank you for reading. Have a wonderful day!
Thank you!
I felt like I was immersed in the future and traditions just from reading and seeing these lovely photos. You said it right, and I would check this place out if ever I'm in the area. I've bookmarked this post:)))

Не знала, що в них є кава з кардамоном. Дуже її люблю, і в Мусафірі давно не була.😉
