You did? Somehow working in public spaces has always eluded me. I love to read, but get distracted if I try to write in a cafe. Did you find the noises and the people inspired or took away from your writing?

Yes, I'd sit for hours and write in a notebook. As long as I'm not interrupted (directly engaged in conversation) the world just melts away around me when I write. It's kind of like wearing noise cancelling earphones. I think the vibe of the place was more inspirational than detracting.
