It’s been a while since I first tried my first coffee from India and it was a very interesting and extraordinary experience. It was maybe a year or so ago and the spicy coriander notes that were in the cup are still in my mind. I have got used to coffees with fruitful and cocoa flavors, but this one was quite different.
Today I will visit again this interesting country with the help and special powers of my coffee cup. This coffee doesn’t suggest to have such a spicy flavor, but I am sure that it will carry the character. Also, the consumer can probably find passion fruit, honey and apricot notes inside. Let’s have a look in the bag now!
The beans are medium size, yet on the bigger side. They are Light roast, the one that mr Dabov prefers when processing his green beans and I am very thankful to him for this decision.
For water, I am choosing a brewing temperature about 90 degrees centigrade, which in my opinion will extract these beans quite well. I know India is not that big coffee producer, but there surely have some amazing varieties of coffee grown there. This is a high quality competition coffee, so we have to be very careful with the preparation. Attention to detail will show respect towards the farmers who grew this previous crop.
When coffee met the hot water, it started to disribute its great aroma almost instantly. I can already taste the fruitiness! Three and a half minutes later the coffee os ready and I can pour it into the waiting cups. And when I did so, guess what happened… the elves came home and asked for coffee. Well, I only had two cups, for me and for my wife, so I only promised to make some photos of them.
The coffee was interesting and it had this spiciness that I mentioned you in the beginning of the post. The beginning had a bit of peperness, while the body and the finish had a good amount of sweetness and tropical nuances. I have to say it was a good holiday treat next to the Christmas tree.
Going back to the yesterday afternoon…
We went outside for a walk and visited our favorite coffee place. I told Misho that my coffee quantity is gradually decreasing and I hope that Dabov will make a good offer soon, so that I will be able to purchase some good and cheap beans. He was so generous to give me a little present again!
In the bag there were 19,5 grams of coffee produced in Costa Rica and roasted in the Netherlands, and Misho told me that I was gonna enjoy this a lot. It is a Thermal fermentation coffee, which was promising to be pretty wild and funky right from the bag. I love such a weird tasting coffees.
Comparing to the other coffee from India I liked it a lot more, but when drinking it every day, I guess it was gonna be too much for me. Being a single dose, it felt like an advent calendar coffee.
Of course, V60 again and then time to enjoy the cup next to the Christmas tree.
Wish you a warm Sunday full of nice emotions. Have fun and see you soon!
Bye!

It's like your coffee cup is a magic portal, first whisking you away to India with its unique coriander notes, and then to Costa Rica via the Netherlands with that wild and funky thermal fermentation coffee. The idea of elves joining in on the tasting adds a whimsical touch to your coffee adventures. It's almost as if they're the coffee connoisseurs of the mythical ✨world, right? And ending the day with a V60 brew by the Christmas tree🎄, that's like the perfect festive cherry on top of a coffee-filled day!

Thanks for the great comment. Coffee consumption really brings you all around the world, either with the producer, or with the roaster.
Oh, those little elves are so cute that came to try the coffee 😇
They brought all the joy!
