Sadly, it becomes yellowish with time and you cannot do anything to make it look fresh again.
Yes, she reminded me that mine will change colour soon. I will look out for some wooden canisters, cos they would work on the boat:)

Wood is definitely gonna do the work! And they will look cool, in my opinion.
Yeah, and wooden canisters would blend nicely with the wood theme of the boat. I might start looking online to see what's available:)))
