I’m pretty late to know this coffee shop
Hi! How have you been doing lately? When was the last time you discovered a new go-to cafe in your city? In this blog, I want to share about that. The cafe I'm about to write is called AADK, which stands for “Ada Apa Dengan Kopi”. This coffee shop brand was actually pretty famous a few years ago. You know, one of those trendy cafes that everyone in town goes to. That's why I didn't even want to visit. There’s something about crowded coffee shops that sometimes can be overwhelming, especially if many influencers are reviewing it. I just don’t want to feel intimidated in the cafe that’s supposed to be a place to relax hehe
However, I just found out now that this brand has more than one branch across my city. My friends took me here probably at the end of last month. I often went to small cafes, so once I knew this AADK was a larger one, I thought I could easily find an introvert spot without being close to other people. When I visited this cafe with my friends at night, we sat at the outdoor area where there surrounded by plants. The seats seem to be made of cement and are covered with wood on top. Here's how it looks in the afternoon.
For me, the outdoor area is definitely not an ideal place to do some work, because the distance between the tables and the “chairs” is too far in my opinion. So obviously the outdoor area is designed for a group hangouts, right? But from what I’ve experienced, even for eating our snacks, I found it uncomfortable with that kind of seating layout haha
So when I visited this cafe alone, I opted for the indoor area. Don’t even need to talk about the seating, the heat outside is no joke so why would I toast myself under the sun😂 In the indoor area, the first seating style you'll see is the sofa. I’m pretty sure the sofas are comfortable, but I don’t think the height of the table is ideal for working on a laptop, by how it looks. However, some customers chose the sofa to work from, so maybe it’s not that bad.
AADK has a wide selection of menu options. From coffee-based drinks, to refreshing ones, snacks, heavy meals like rice, noodles, and even some bakery goods. I once tried the chicken noodles and a berry-flavored drink (forget the name of it) when I visited this cafe with my friends. The drink was so refreshing, but the chicken noodle was just okay, so I didn’t order it again on my next visit.
And it seems like matcha is getting more and more popular these days, so AADK also has a “matcha series” where you can find everything from clear matcha to dirty matcha signature to suit your taste. I haven’t tried it yet, maybe next time.
The chairs below are the most comfortable, in my opinion. They’re definitely ideal chairs and tables for working, right? I saw many people who work on their laptops also choose this seating area. This cafe has a warm lighting inside, maybe even darker than any other cafes I’ve been to, but it’s still comfortable for sight.
Oh, and if you notice there’s a box in the corner, that is a photo booth! I think many cafes nowadays are starting to offer different experiences to attract customers. I don’t know how much it costs, but I just wonder how many people would want to take photos in the photo booth while hanging out at the cafe hehe. Is it even more convenient than going to the mall?
Lastly, I ordered this burger that day because there was a free drink promo. How could I resist?😅 AADK has many bundling offers from their menu, so I always make sure to check it first before order haha that’s such a great deal when you can get snacks and drinks but pay less than the normal price, right? Are you also a promo hunter like me, lol? I’m just curious😁

In my case, it's been a while since I discovered a new cafe in my city. But it's great that you decided to go to that cafe. It has many different atmospheres to choose from, depending on our needs.
I also like to find deals to try; it's a way to enjoy both while eating and enjoying free drinks.
