COFFEE CLIQUES

The only social setting where coffee had so much traction in my life was when I was yet in the university. Back then, myself and most of my roommates and some friends drank it.

Needless to say that not everyone enjoyed it in the same measure. Some just liked how distinct it tasted from our regular everyday beverages(milo and milk), some others only consumed it for the effect it had on their systems, which was to keep them up and active particularly during the examination period when studies was intense.
That aside, I don't know a lot of people who like coffee.
And like I mentioned, in one of my previous articles, I already had developed some strong likening to the drink, back before I gained entrance into university amd so, I did not have to like it for any sort reasons.

Back then, it was a social habit but not particularly so, as, although we all took the drink, it was never pre-planned or based on the reason that we shared similar taste. Circumstance brought about our dilemma.

After high school, the first and only coffee-hangout that I ever had happened with one of my male cousins and a friend of his. We had gone out that cool evening to see a football game at a variety drinks hub that doubled as a viewing center.
It was very chilly in there and we though(frankly, i was of the idea) to do something different and act as we suppose that Englishmen do(you know, with having tea breaks, coffee breaks and stuff like that).

My cousin, although not a lover of coffee, was willing to try out the role only he did not want it strong. His friend got the black, strong coffee. As always, I went for lots of cream.

While we sat and watched the game, we took sips from our coffee. But I tell you, that was the worst coffee I ever had. No, the barista did not make a mess of it. It tasted great. However, it was not in sync with the atmosphere that I was in.

How? Football is a sport that people can be very passionate about. And over here, what adds to the fun while seeing the game in the midst of other viewers is the argument. That day, the back-and-forths were on a high threshold. I would barely bring my cup to my lips before I have a reason to scream, talk, or be animated. It was only during the first few minutes of the game that I took sips from my steaming ware. And it wasn't until the first half of the game that I drank from it again. By then, it had gone cold.

So I could barely down it coupled with the high emotions/tension in the room. I felt bad that I had wasted that coffee and disrupted the experience of having to take the drink in an agreed setting.

Nonetheless, I learned one new thing about me, for myself. It was that I enjoyed having my coffee in solitude where I could savor every taste as the rich liquid coarse through me.

Let's just say I had the drink with domeone else, again, my young cousin. I had taken him out to chill, and cause I ordered coffee, he thought he wanted the same too. Unfortunately, he ended up spilling it and burning his lap. It was an awful situation.
I guess now you can see for yourself why I consider myself the coffee-social-network in my own life. Lol.

There's no one that i could go on a coffee date with at the momdnt. No cliques. However, there are people who come to mind when i think of my coffee-related experiences, both nice and not. For now, just me and my drink is all there is.

Not caring enough to get the spelling correct in your title means people won't bother reading any further, or voting; it looks like shit. See below.
