Touring Italy and not enjoying a cup of bean based beverage seems like I've wasted the little vacation time we had, which is why we tried to explore Italian coffee gems as much as possible in every city we were visiting.
One of those gems we happened to stop by - after a day of museum "hopping" - was Café Terzi in Bologna, which offers a wide range of beans from different continents and serving different variations. Walking in it became evident that this café's main focus is warm beverages and without deterring too much from that kept the interior minimal - with some nods to coffee - and clean. To counterbalance the small space clear benches and chairs were placed.
Coffee being the main focus and not so much service, the barista explained to us that the procedure is to order at the counter, wait for the drink and then proceed with a tray - of the warm beverages and glasses of water - in hand to a table. On the other hand, were they gracious enough to answer all of our coffee related questions.
Caffe Viennese and Caffe Terzi were our beverages of choice, which we were delighted about. The Viennese had a good balance of cream and chocolate powder, without overpowering the distinct espresso taste. It was a real treat after a day of strolling through the city. The Terzi, enhanced by its chocolate and spicy ingredients was a strong espresso, that one couldn't get enough of. Definitely a gem on the menu.
Caffe Terzi was definitely a clear cut gem, seeing their confidence in what they have to offer, building upon it and being unapologetic about it. Reading their varied warm beverages options it's clear that they aren't afraid to experiment with tastes and ingredients, which resulted in the dark liquid brown drinks.

Well, that looks most delightful! Indeed a treat and a gem.
That was a great find!
I like people who like to experiment and do different things. It makes everything more exciting 😍
It does and I try to remember that when I eat Surinamese food that's not prepared the authentic way. Change is good hahaha.
Hello, how nice that you were encouraged to visit that place, a place that is very comfortable and perfect to spend a quiet day enjoying some coffees. That was a great discovery and that coffee you ordered looks very good. You found a gem of a coffee shop. Greetings.
Thank you and it was a pleasant experience.
A little bit pricey though, compared to other coffee shops in Italy but definitely need to try at least once.
Nothing is better than a nice cup of warm beverage in a cosy no-nonsense place. It am sure it was even more delicious because they were focused and served their own unique vatiations. Lovely
Agree! I mean, it leaves the space open for anyone and anything. Students/workers re-energizing, friends catching up, colleagues brainstorming, etc.
