Why do you think it's pointless to give the author of the post a few local tokens in gratitude for the post, which are exactly what they are intended for? For example: !LOLZ. I think if the @savvyplayer didn't like it, he would have told me about it himself.

You are not giving "tokens of gratitude" by spamming comments. Express your gratitude by upvoting or tipping.

Your comments noise proliferate farther than you know: I reacted to your meaningless comment because of notification "new comment to bookmarked content".

Please do not needlessly mention those who don't have to participate in this discussion.

Community (i.e. everybody) is free to react to posts or comments as they see fit. You should not be surprised when bad comment attract negative reaction.

2. I think the author of the post has the right to express his opinion about spam under his post . It's not up to you to decide.

Spam affects the entire community beyond readers of a particular post that attracted spam. Spamming is not OK, and saying "don't complain if you were not affected" is wrong. I was affected, as notification about your comment appeared among my notifications, and I followed that notification with expectation of meaningful commentary, not some spam comment.

Everyone is free to react at their discretion. This is actually helps to have harmonious, self-organising community.

I doubt that your comment would have attracted a dislike if you wrote something worth reading, in relation to the post to where you was commenting.
