Alright, enough chit-chat. Let's dive into the tutorial. It's as easy as pie. So, I snagged myself a LIBRECOMPUTER—the Le Potato model, rockin' a sweet 2 gigs of RAM. Now, this little beast runs smooth as butter when you're plugged in via cable, bit sluggish but manageable. But switch to Wi-Fi, and it's like a freakin' tragedy—slower than a sloth on a Sunday. And guess what? It ain't the Wi-Fi's fault; it's those bloated Google, Facebook, and TikTok servers. They're clogged with scripts, draggin' us down. Trust me, it'll make your blood boil—it's an environmental sin, an energy drain, and a mental health buzzkill. Ain't nobody survivin' on ads alone, capisce?
Does the internet use a lot of energy? In short, yes, it does.
But hold your horses! Let's get back to business. Can we whip up a voice studio on a fifty-dollar computer? Hell yeah, we can! 🎙️💻
So, the steps I had to tackle to test the computer were quite a journey.
First off, lemme tell ya, download that installation file from "Le Frite" because it works like a charm, even on "Le Potato."
Straight from LIBRECOMPUTER, head over to the download page. At the bottom of the page, you'll find links to default desktop environments. Now, listen up—I recommend Xfce 'cause it's lightweight. If you decide to load up other software, it won't weigh you down, ya know? Check it out here: Le Frite Download
Once you've snagged that download, fire up your single board and follow the instructions. Do the update, do the upgrade, and then dive into installing the software you need for "jammin' and recordin'." But hold up, before all that jazz:

Now, here's the secret sauce: Get ZRam installed and kickstart that swap. You could do it manually, but this way is smoother than a fresh jar of peanut butter. Trust me.
But hold your horses! We've got a little hiccup. Despite Qjack being all fancy with low latency, it's like trying to fit a giraffe in a Mini Cooper—mathematically impossible, unless we use a cabrio!!!!
Ain't no easy tutorials out there for installing that Low Latency Kernel. So, I had to tweak Qjack with these settings:
USB > Whatever card you're rockin' (I'm rollin' with a Scarlett 18i)
Sample rate > 441 (that's the magic number)
Frames period > 512 (keep it groovy)
Buffer > 2 (not too much, not too little)
And hey, if you're feelin' adventurous, hit up Pi-Apps again. Grab yourself Reaper with all the plugins—it's like an "evaluating" version, which means you can keep "evaluating" it forever. No strings attached, my friend.

I computer ultimamente ne consumano molta, e ho fatto diversi test. Il problema principale è la pubblicità mentre navighi in internet tra wi-fi e pubblicità sprechiamo quasi il 70% della capacità della CPU, ora immaginate i server di google o di facebook.. capite il problema???
Questo comporta un fabbisogno maggiore di energia, il che significa che l’impatto sull’ambiente potrebbe essere elevatissimo, a costo di un aumento della temperatura e cambiamenti climatici, per che cosa, per navigare col tuo cazzo di telefonino dalla spiaggia?? Stattene a casa allora.

Siccome le istituzioni non fanno praticamente nulla per risolvere il problema (ricordo che ho lavorato fin dal 2005 sul cambiamento climatico con il WWF), ho pensato che se non iniziamo a cambiare noi in prima persona, il mondo non cambierà mai.
Per fare la differenza, dobbiamo sforzarci di pensare in maniera diversa e capire che quello che stiamo facendo è sbagliato e, soprattutto non è progresso.

Il tutorial è semplicissimo,
Ho acquistato un LIBRECOMPUTER. Le Potato due giga di RAM e di se è un computer che gira bene, il problema è il wi-fi finchè vai via cavo, va bene, un pò lento ma gira, sul Wi-Fi è una tragedia, lentissimo, il problema, come dicevo prima nn è il wi-fi bensi i server di google, facebook, tik-tok che sono intasati di script e rallentano le connessioni, a quel punto capirete che ti girano i coglioni perchè è un peccato per l'ambiente, per l'energia e per noi stessi in termini di salute mentale, non si può vivere di sola pubblicità giusto?
Ma torniamo al tutorial e vediamo se possiamo creare un mini-studio per voce e chitarra con 50 dollari di computer.

Quindi gli step che ho dovuto affrontare per testare il computer sono stati impegnativi.
In primo luogo vi consiglio di scaricare il file di installazione dalla paghina di "Le Frite" perchè funzona meglio e bene anche su "Le Potato"
Direttamente dalla LIBRECOMPUTER si accede alla pagina di download
a fine pagina trovate i link con i desktop environment di default.
Consiglio Xfce perchè è leggero, se installate altri software nn vi pesa.

una volta scaricato, fate partire la vostra single board e seguite le istruzioni fate l' update e l' upgrade ed iniziate a installare i software che vi servono per "suonare e registrare" ma prima di tutto installate

Installate ZRam e fate partire la swap, potete installarla anche manualmente ma cosi è piu facile e veloce
Adesso però sorgono i problemi, perchè nonostante Qjack sia configurato a bassa latenza, è matematicamente impossibile -- fino ad ora non ho trovato tutorial facili -- per installare il Low latency Kernel e quindi ho dovuto impostare Qjack con questi settaggi
USB > Sceda che utilizzate io utilizzo una scarlet
Sample rate > 441
Frames period > 512
Buffer > 2
