NekoLive — Major Update, New UI, and Important Community Notice

in NekoLive15 days ago

The past few months have been a mix of heavy stress and nonstop work.
Nothing personal toward anyone — I’ve just been carrying the entire platform development solo, both backend and frontend, for a long time. Despite all the work and late nights, I’ve had no funding or financial support behind this project. Even so, I’ve kept pushing to build a safe, reliable environment for streamers so they don’t need to jump between platforms.

But now for the updates.

🎨 New UI Update (50% Complete)

NekoLive now has a redesigned interface — cleaner, faster, and smoother.

📱 Mobile support is about halfway done. A few fixes remain, but the layout is already much more responsive.

🔒 Blacklist & Safety Enhancements

To increase safety across the platform, I added:

HiveWatchers blacklist integration

Blurt COAL blacklist integration

(Steem isn't included yet because there’s no official blacklist source similar to HiveWatchers.)

I also released a small NPM tool to make blacklist scanning easier:

https://www.npmjs.com/package/@nekosuneprojects/steem-blurt-hive-blacklist-scanner

Why this matters

Platforms like Dagamers were hit with waves of downvotes due to blacklisted users exploiting systems. Many of these users post low-effort content, use botted Twitch accounts, or attempt scams to earn quick income.

To prevent this on NekoLive:

🛑 Auto-detect Twitch accounts with viewbotting / followbotting

🛑 Auto-blacklist channels showing clear exploit activity

🔐 Strengthened cross-chain DApp safety

Security is a core priority because NekoLive is a multi-chain DApps streaming platform. I’ve spent countless hours tightening these systems — alone — because the two other developers assigned to the project unfortunately contributed nothing despite repeated requests.

⚠️ Important Internal Update

I’ll keep this part short and respectful.

One of the founders was removed after a series of issues involving misinformation, conflict with community members, and behavior that created instability for the project. To protect the NekoSune Community and NekoLive, both the founder and their partner were removed from all servers.

Details will remain private.
What matters is:

  1. The safety of the community

  2. The integrity of the project

  3. Stability moving forward

This situation also led to the ending of the HyperionTV partnership, since I was being blamed for something I did not do.

There were also attempts to pressure me into actions involving crypto that were not safe or appropriate. To be clear — I do not owe anyone money, especially for work they never performed. And NekoLive has always followed safe, legal practices.

Because of all this, I’ve taken full control of NekoLive’s future direction.

🔧 Backend Status (500 / SSL Errors)
If you notice errors like 500, connection failures, or HTTPS issues:

✔️ It’s not the NekoLive frontend
❌ It’s due to Nginx Proxy Manager

Their recent update broke SSL handling inside Docker, causing background crashes.
I’m waiting for their fix before everything returns to normal.

Docker being Docker… sometimes it just breaks for no reason.

❤️ Thank You — And How to Support

This month was rough, but your motivation kept me pushing through stress and burnout.
NekoLive is something I care deeply about, and I want to see it continue growing.

We recently lost two RTMP servers due to the founder incident.

Until funding comes in, I’ve temporarily relabeled Twitch and Kick routing.

If you want to support NekoLive’s future and help restore its infrastructure, any help is appreciated. It keeps the platform alive and independent.

❤️ Thank you all.
This community is the reason I keep going, keep building, and keep coding — even on the hard days.
