Open Air Old Village Museum

in SublimeSunday2 years ago

Today a walk along the museum Maramures Village Sighetul Marmatiei in Northeast of Romania on a beautiful summer day. The museum was created in 1981 as an authentic Maramures village, with houses, households, outbuildings, fountains, hydraulic plants along the narrow streets that finally are converging towards the hill, the highest point in which dominates the panorama of the lovely wooden church of XVI century Original was from Oncești, Valea Izei.

What was also very very interesting to see how people lived in their houses with the original pieces of furniture and everything that belonged to them, a very charming time in the olden days.

For a simple and careful tour through the vast and extraordinarily rich Museum of the Maramurese Village of Sighetu Marmației, you would need not just 3- 4 hours but at least a day or, preferably, regular returns in different seasons. In any case here in the open air museum we had a beautiful sublime sunny day with a spectacular moments.
