In the UK today is Mothers Day, the weather however decided not to make it a bright and sunny day - another cold, wet and windy day. Certainly not the best day to be outdoors, but I braved it to visit mum.
The slightly soggy snowdrops are spreading out thick and fast now.
And Daffodils are getting all ready for easter.
And they do at least make an otherwise dull day brighter.
A brief walk round on a very wet Sunday, the teasing mild weather of a few weeks back has all but vanished - we even had snow showers yesterday!
Although we have had it windy in Yorkshire this week, it's not been as strong and damaging as other parts of the UK.
And a #funkyedits to finish, a very alternative flowery view.

I love the funky edits. I always mean to add some to my Sublime Sunday posts and then I forget!
It's amazing how much an edit can change a simple photo!
Next sunday, I'm going to have to remember this tag. I already posted my photo for the day (and besides, it is Monday morning in Japan). Can't add tags in edit mode can we?
But anyway, I'm a sucker for cloud photos, so I especially like that first.
It doesn't have to be a Sunday, it's not unusual for me to post mine on a Monday - of course it helps to keep them all together! We always have plenty of clouds in the UK.

It has been relatively mild, of course the usual irony is wet and grey weekend - wake up for work Monday morning blue skies - typical when I have to spend all day indoors.

You're so lucky to have flowers out already. The snow is melting here, but not fast enough. ;) Still, I'll take the sunshine. Spring is coming...
It's just nice to be going to work in daylight, and leaving in almost daylight. It really makes me sad during the mid winter getting up in darkness, arriving at work in darkness, leaving at night in darkness...it makes me feel like a mole.
I can totally understand that. The longer days make me come alive, too.
