Sublime Sunday the kind that asks for nothing but presence. The rustle of leaves, the whisper of the wind, and the warmth of sunlight remind me that peace doesn’t need perfection, just awareness.
Sometimes we wake up and our hearts yearn for a peace that words can’t describe, right? I woke up today feeling grateful, yet with a little discomfort hanging around my heart. It wasn’t anything to worry about, so I got dressed and went to church.
During the Holy mass, the officiating priest gave a spirit-lifting sermon on the miraculous power of God and the disadvantages of pride in our daily lives. The word of God lifted my countenance yes, I felt better.
On my way home, I came across this view: a green tree with birds sitting peacefully on its branches.

I found it both beautiful and amazing a quiet act of nature. I imagined the birds, free to soar high, unbothered by the worries that weigh us down. For a moment, I wished I could be one of them but of course, I can never be a bird 😄.
Then I looked at the tree, steady and silent, offering its branches as a resting place. Both the tree and the birds seemed to enjoy each other’s company in perfect harmony. I felt the urge to sit under the tree, to fully absorb the serenity of the moment maybe even reach out for one of the birds and keep it as a pet. I imagined a world without worries, just peace.
All these thoughts drifted through my mind until my sister’s voice snapped me back to reality. That’s when I realized I had stopped walking and was simply staring at the scene. It was then I decided to take a picture to capture the peace I felt and share it.
Because sometimes, it’s in the quietest moments that we find the loudest lessons.
