Hello dear Hivers!
Lately, I have been doing a bit of walking, a kind of exercise to get me on track again and to move my legs and feet. I was suffering from the flu the week before and had been out of Hive for about a week. So going outdoors always does me good... The place I always go to is the National Park which is just about 1.5 Km from home. There are other entrances to the Park but this one near the paddock is my favorite.
This paddock is composed of many tracks and according to locals who live nearby long enough, there used to be many horses being trained here. The area is surrounded by farmlands so I think whoever owns this land is lucky to be able to have a huge paddock. If I walk on the other side passing by the entrance of the main house, the street or path has signs for car drivers to slow down because of the horses.
I Love Horses!
Although I haven't experienced horse riding, I always love to see these creatures and wished I had learned to ride when I was younger. Well, who knows, never say never, right? I drew this horse below more than a decade ago and maybe will draw another one soon as I have the time. The paddock rekindles my desire to sketch again, a hobby I self-learned when I was doing naive paintings.
The paddock is really huge and so I imagine that the owner of this is or was a breeder. The area is well kept and one can see it because the grasses always look immaculate and well taken care of.
The wooden fences as we can see in the images are well maintained, There are no broken logs whatsoever. I hope they will bring back some horses here again. As far as I know, the huge warehouse stores some building materials, so I guess the owner of the place rented it out.
So when I went walking couple of days ago, I passed-by this area and decided to take photos. It´s a great area to be in, I would simply walk, breath fresh air and see the wonders of nature. In my mind, I imagine seeing the horses quietly enjoying the green grass.
The Trees at the Paddock´s main entrance
The trees in the image above are plagued by mistletoes, parasites that sip the water or moist of the trees eventually killing them. I wonder why they are not being removed. We live nearby for 2 years now and nothing has been done to take these parasitic plants off the tree. The big tree is for sure dying off as the main trunk is already in the process of drying.... What a waste!

Too bad you didn't get to see any horse.
Yeah, it´s a pity! But I could still go to the other entrance of the national park , they also have stalls for the horses....as well as to my former district to see the other paddock full of horses..jejeje
With the looks of it, I imagine the place was a wide horse stable area with a lot of horses galloping around.
