It is rightly said that any Art work is an expression of one's self. They portray our thoughts and reflect a little bit of us in them. I came across this very interesting Art work in a hotel lobby and really wondered the imagination of this creator. This particular Art work is called Nail and String work. In this work silk thread is used around nails and different patterns are created. What I observed was that all the patterns that were created were all geometric patterns so I wonder if with this work any free form of art could be created. I guess then it would be based on first the placement of the nails and then working around with the threads on them.
It looks a challenging type of work, because to get the right blend and shades in the design would not be as easy and simple as it looks here. Also the art work has a 3D effect which gives lot of life to it.
Why I got attracted to this art work is because somewhere geometry fascinates me. The only drawing I could do in my school was in geometric patterns, I was never good at free hand art, but my geometric patters were always exceling, and now also I have the fascination of making Mandalas which are nothing but geometric patterns. A geometry portrays accuracy, like the Crown Chakra also called as Flower of Life, it blooms and inspires.
The first one that caught my eye was "The Time Lapse" or I would even call it a motion of Life. It looks like something in rhythm. When I look at it, also reminds me of the Ying and Tang symbol.
This one looks like a 3D sphere. Love the way it's woven up.
This one immediately my reaction is, it is a representation of Crown Chakra, The Flower of life, expanding and blooming in all facets of life. It also feels like a depicting growth from inside to the outside.
I am sure this one must have been the most difficult one for the artist and it is so beautiful that just cannot take my eyes off. A Peacock dancing to the tune of nature.
Truly through Art, life can be expressed in the most magnificent ways. Hope you all enjoyed watching it.
