Hello my friend! What a wonderful surprise to see your reply! As I mentioned; there were several furniture items for sale, the day we went to look. It was not like "all wood" mind you. But so much better than anything you could buy nowadays. The added bonus, to my other half and I, were initials carved into the inside of two of the drawers.
I'm guessing that was the children's way of marking who's drawer was who's. We opted to keep them there, rather than trying to sand them out. That's very sentimental to us... and made them feel like continuing on a tradition...
