Lime Water
It's been a while since I've been able to make regular posts. Lately, I've found myself wanting to post but with work taking up most of my time, I really haven't had anything interesting to write about.
What better way to return than by taking some photos and revisiting my love of photography. (something else that's taken a back seat to work!)
My inspiration for today's photo came from the weekly PhotoFeed Contest - Macro Photography
My first thought was to take a look in the garden for some interesting insects but in the end, it was the beautiful green lime sitting on my kitchen bench that caught my eye and became today's subject.
The skin had a nice colour and texture that I hoped to capture. Green has always been one of my favourite colours, especially Lime Green.
The first few photos didn't captivate me at all, so I added some water to the setting for some additional interest and playing with different angles also helped.
The photo that I chose to publish, was taken from a lower angle and captured some shadow in the foreground, adding some drama to the shot.
What a shame I don't have any vodka and soda to wash it down with.
