The Clown
It was the bell-carriers gathering in Matulji, Croatia 3 months ago & this photo shows this also - the street parade in the center - especially the group Ćićski zgončari. My last post was about them.
But there is something a bit more interesting about this photo - the clown guy in the bottom right corner. Even thou I focused him, the composition hides him a bit & his holding is kind of neutral. Clowns are almost always very special characters.
I also feel some connection with the clown. When I was a teenager I was often dressing up like a clown during the carnival times in my hometown Opatija, Croatia. In that way not many people could recognize me & I would be able to perform various naughty tricks & easily forgiven cause everything is allowed during the carnival...
