When the river water recedes during winter, the grasslands become exposed. During this time, the busyness of the village people increased. Some allow fishing traps, others sow crops with dry fodder. But when the monsoon comes, the form of this char changes completely. At that time, the water here is choppy, and people move in small boats.

As a child, I went to such char area with my father. Walking through the vast grasslands grazing the chickens, catching crabs, and sitting on the sand dunes watching the green banyans in the distance—it was all a different feeling. Even today when I think of those days, my mind is filled with peace.
Stepping into such a place on the banks of the river, one can see a unique sweetness of nature. Looking at the small breathing roots of the mangrove forest in the first picture, it seemed as if nature was protecting its own lungs. These breathing roots emerge from the muddy soil, as if to breathe. The trees stood in rows, their shadows falling on the grass.
The second picture shows the stream running through the mud. A sweet smell of mud wafted through the air. The roar of flowing water is a visible sign of life and movement. The shadow of the standing man falls on the mud; The feeling of his standing is telling, the intensity of nature can be felt in such a place.

Boats stuck in dry mud are like witnesses of time. By looking at the boats, it is clear that once they used to run across the river. Now they are resting in the mud, just as nature allows people to rest. A strange peace works in the combination of the rows of trees and the blue sky in the distance.
