On one of my last trips to the mountains I took several pictures of the Milky Way, unfortunately the mountains and the forest were blocking the best view. But still I think the pictures turned out really good despite of the trees and mountain blocking the view to the center of the Milky Way. it is a bit different to the usual milky way pictures that I already did. But next time I want to find a different foreground again. Maybe like the one with the little chapell that I did some time ago.
But having a nice foreground and also only very few light pollution is not so easy. The problem with the night pullution is that already small sources of light like a distant city can ruin the pictures. In these pictures here I really had the luck that eventhough I had a little bit of light pollution from a nearby house it didn't ruin the whole picture. But when I was in Lower Austria this last weekend I also tried some milky way photography, some distant lights destroyed my whole pictures so I had to give up and need to look for another location the next time.
