This shrine is famous for its tunnels of red torii gates, similar to those at Fushimi Inari-taisha in Kyoto... but much smaller. (For your information or as a reminder: The torii symbolizes the entrance to a sacred space where the kami, the spirits or deities of Shintoism, reside.)

Unlike other tourist sites in Tokyo, Nezu-jinja is often less crowded, allowing for a calmer and more introspective experience.

Note: In April and May, the shrine hosts the Azalea Festival, attracting thousands of visitors who come to admire the approximately 3,000 blooming azalea bushes of over 100 different varieties.

Ce sanctuaire est célèbre pour ses tunnels de portails torii rouges, similaires à ceux de Fushimi Inari-taisha à Kyoto... mais en beaucoup plus petits.

Contrairement à d'autres sites touristiques de Tokyo, Nezu-jinja est souvent moins fréquenté, permettant une expérience plus calme et introspective.

A savoir : En avril et mai, le sanctuaire organise le festival des azalées, attirant des milliers de visiteurs venus admirer les quelques 3.000 buissons d'azalées en fleurs de plus de 100 variétés différentes.
