Oreganito - Macro

in PhotoFeed6 hours ago

Hello to all lovers of images captured with our lens. Today I bring you a macro shot of a plant that my wife cares for in our backyard, and which we use quite often as an ingredient in cooking. It's a species of oregano, but smaller in size, which really brings out the flavor in dishes — meats, beans, among others. Around here we call it "oreganito," using the diminutive since we also have a regular oregano whose leaf is larger, but in this case it's really, really small. Growing it can sometimes be quite difficult, and it requires partial shade, frequent watering, as well as fertilizing to stay vigorous. So here's a macro shot of its leaves, which is what we use in our kitchen.

Images are exclusive and taken with my Samsung A54 5G.

The texture and color of the leaves look amazing in this close up. Fresh herbs from the backyard always make food taste even better. Great shot 👏🏾

Sure, thanks for the comment.

You're welcome 🙂
