Justice Square and its Surroundings
In front of the National Building of Barquisimeto, seat of the state courts, is a large public space devoid of trees known as Justice Square or Plaza de la Justicia.
Located in the center of the city, in its vicinity are also the Plaza Bolivar, the headquarters of the Mayor's Office of the Municipality Iribarren, the Tourism Corporation of Barquisimeto, CORTUBAR for its acronym in Spanish, and a little further away, the Plaza Jacinto Lara with the St. Francis of Assisi Church, which was the first Catholic cathedral of Barquisimeto, in addition to other buildings of colonial architecture, some of which are part of the local historical heritage.
During last Good Friday, I was visiting this area during the celebration of Holy Week at the end of March, occasion that I took the opportunity to take a lot of pictures in order to renew and increase my image archive.
As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.
Al frente del Edificio Nacional de Barquisimeto, sede de los tribunales estadales, se encuentra un amplio espacio público desprovisto de árboles conocido como Plaza de la Justicia.
Ubicado en el centro de la ciudad, en sus adyacencias se encuentran también la Plaza Bolívar, la sede de la Alcaldía del Municipio Iribarren, la Corporación de Turismo de Barquisimeto, CORTUBAR por sus siglas en español, y un poco más retirado, la Plaza Jacinto Lara con la Iglesia San Francisco de Asís, la cual fuese la primera catedral católica de Barquisimeto; además de otras edificaciones de arquitectura colonial, algunas de las cuales, forman parte del patrimonio histórico local.
Durante el pasado Viernes Santo, estuve recorriendo este sector en el marco de la celebración de la Semana Santa a finales del mes de Marzo, ocasión que aproveché para tomar una buena cantidad de fotografías con el objetivo de renovar e incrementar mi archivo de imágenes.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.

The first picture of this street is truly beautiful. It seems as if the whole sky is decorated with kites! :)
