This yellowjacket was a type I have not seen very often, and I really liked its look. The exoskeleton of this insect looks like it is made out of hard plastic. The black and yellow pattern is quite striking and gives me almost a warrior-type vibe. These shots were taken when I was getting into macro photography in 2010, and they inspired me to believe I could take interesting photos in nature without having to even venture very far.
