I've heard this dialogue many times: "This is art, the rest is science." This shows me the immense importance of art. In ancient times, when people couldn't speak or had no language, art has been a part of their lives ever since. Art holds a unique significance, and if we consider ancient times, people used art to express the things around them. A person's thoughts, feelings, and experiences are reflected in their art, a quality not everyone possesses. In a way, we can say it's a God-gift. Every person's art has a unique identity and reflects their thoughts. When someone creates art, it reflects their own thoughts, and capturing that in art isn't everyone's cup of tea, as it requires considerable experience. If we talk about bad art, then according to me there cannot be such a thing because if a person has his own art then it is in a way his gift and no one develops this gift on his own, rather it is a gift given by God. Skill is something that a person can acquire by practicing but art is something that is given to a person as a gift. If seen from a technical point of view, there may be some flaws in the art but that does not mean that it is bad because if any person is creating art and has any kind of art in him then he has a unique work in his hands which is unmatched.
Every art form has its own significance, and understanding it requires a great deal of knowledge. Sometimes, you might see a painting that seems a little strange and wonder what's so special about it. But then, after a thorough study of the object or hearing about it, you'll realize the significance of the painting and what the artist is trying to convey through it. Many people are passionate about painting, and they also love to buy prints. You'll notice that during auctions, various types of paintings are presented, and you'll see that seemingly simple paintings sell for very high prices, making you wonder what's so special about them. You might wonder what the person buying the painting could have found so special about it. But only someone with such knowledge can truly understand the painting, and only when they have knowledge about it can they buy it. However, not every art is like this and some aartis are quite simple which look attractive but do not have much depth in them and are very simple, but some arts look quite simple but not everyone can know the depth in them.
It's completely unfair to criticize art, as it's a talent not everyone possesses. While the level of art may fluctuate slightly, calling it bad isn't the right word, as everyone expresses something through their art. Whether someone understands art or not, calling art bad is wrong, and we should always respect it.
