How Addiction Take Control Of Your Mind

in Hive Learners2 days ago

Hello to all hive users 🤗❤️🙏
Hope you all are healthy and doing great in your life🙂

You've often heard people say, "This person is seriously addicted to this thing." When we talk about addiction, many people think it's a bad thing, but is it really a bad thing? This is what we're discussing. It's generally seen that addiction is to something bad, and when a person gets used to something bad, it turns into an addiction. You may have noticed that many people become addicted to alcohol, unable to live without it and craving it daily. We call such things addictions. You may have noticed that many people smoke excessively, finishing several packs of cigarettes a day. We can also call such people cigarette addicts because they can't live without cigarettes, and their habit becomes so bad that their hands start shaking and they crave it. Now, the first question was whether addiction is a choice. My answer to this is, yes, it can definitely be a choice. If you've never drunk alcohol before, and someone calls you over and says, "Have a drink, nothing bad. You should drink it once in a while." If you buy into their words and consume alcohol, you could become addicted. Initially, we don't realize we're becoming addicted, and only when things get too far do we realize we're addicted.

If we look at it, it can definitely become a disease, a mental illness that's even more difficult to treat. You may have noticed that people often say that the person was severely addicted to something, so they sent them for therapy. In a therapy center, the person is put under a certain bond, and then various methods are used to help them break the habit. Sometimes, the person recovers from the addiction, but there's always a risk of relapse, as it's a mental illness and relapse is possible. You may be fine for a few days, but if you're exposed to a similar environment again and lose some control over your mind, you may experience the same problem again and become addicted. If you have any physical illness then it can be cured with medicines but the treatment of mental illnesses is a bit difficult and takes a lot of time and the most important thing is to be able to control oneself which is not possible in the person because his brain has become a victim of addiction.

If we consider this from a perspective, it wouldn't be wrong to view addiction as a serious illness, as it's like a swamp where a person falls into, and it becomes very difficult to get out. Even if they do, there's a high chance they could fall back into it, making it a very serious illness. It's often been observed that a person becomes addicted to something and, unable to get it, will go to any lengths to get it. Whether it's stealing or committing a serious crime, the only thing on their mind is to get it. Addiction can often lead to actions you never imagined, ruining your life and future goals.

It's very easy to become addicted to something, and it slowly becomes a habit without us even realizing it. If you see something that isn't right for you and you think it could become an addiction that could later develop into a serious illness, refuse it in advance. A simple no could save you from future harm. This can be entirely your choice.

Yeah sincerely your article is on track and tally so much with my opinion. Addiction can be seen as a choice and as a disease cos you have the choice to reject an invite of starting it in the first place or even leaving the act as soon as you discover it's no longer normal

Choice is all yours.
