I've Had Enough Of Urban Life

Hi, I hope you're all doing very well. This week the competition which is ongoing is about Urban versus rural Life. And I believe I have a very strong opinion about this segment. Especially since the two experiences have deferred from each other quite a lot over the past couple decades. Is more amplified since the cities of today are becoming more and more polluted and unlivable and due to only heavy industrialization. But many people don't have a choice. Since obviously the cities hold the better economic chances for people to prosper in their lives. And I believe a lot of people, if given the chance of stable lives, many would opt out of living in the cities.

Take my country, for example. It is not the most modern country. And generally it is a third world country. So industrialization and better opportunities are very clustered. It is clustered within one or maybe two cities throughout the country. So anyone who wants to do better in life and searches for a higher income or a better overall quality of life must move to these places. And this eventually increases the density of these cities. Making them more crowded, hard to live in. I myself experience this. There is a lot of noise, a lot of pollution. And the traffic is hell. Everyday when I have to go to the University it takes me about 2x the normal time to reach there because of the traffic. And I'm sure a lot of people experience the same and but they can't do anything about it because it's the only way to financial security.

With that said, if financial and other lively securities were provided, many would have easily left such densely populated areas. Yes cities are good and many enjoy the urban life. And I have nothing against them. But imagine the serenity of the villages, the vast empty spaces, no horns, plenty of space to walk, no pollution and suffocation. Clear skies so you can watch the stars at night. Yes, you may have missed out on quality of life features such as many technological advancements, but your quality of health would have increased drastically. And as for me personally, I would love to live in a more rural area because of all the peaceful benefits I have just described. I have lived all my life in a city and I have had just about enough. If I really have the chance to financially secure myself and still go out of town I would have taken that chance in a heartbeat. There is a point in life when you get tired of your surroundings. I probably am at that point.

And I would like to believe that many of you also think the same way. Even people who live in the villages think of moving to more urban areas and people from urban areas want to move out of town. So in the end there is no definite answer. This whole post is just me ranting about my tiredness from the city life. I am sure there will be posts where people will talk about how city life is better than villages.
