Hello everyone and good evening. A few days ago we saw that Intel had a change in management. Pat Gelsinger has stepped down. But in case any of you keep tabs on what is actually going on in the market of India shares and market value, you'll see what actually happened here. Intel has been losing market share and failing stock prices for many months now. Pat Gelsinger was considered to be a savior of Intel. But things didn't turn out the way any of them had planned. Previously, Intel was losing market to AMD. And AMD's chips were getting better and better every year while Intel could not show such significant upgrades in their own chips. They have been stuck on 14 nm technologies for many years.
Then when Pat Gelsinger came, he wanted to restructure the company from the ground up. And since Intel had the capital, he wanted to burn that cash and use it to change intersections rapidly. Under his supervision, Intel pledged to close the nanometer Gap and produce competitive chips in the market to compete with AMD. Catching up with two different entities in AMD and TSMC in terms of cheap designing and chip manufacturing at the same time is very hard even for an industry giant like Intel. So obviously they were losing money on these endeavors and from any quarters Intel could not show substantial profits which would keep their shareholders happy. Many experts believe that Intel will be in the state for quite some time from now on before they make a substantial comeback in the market. Even though their mobile chips have shown some promise.
Now what I personally think about this whole situation is that Pat was doing what should have been done. But the whole thing was quite rushed. That's why Intel lost money faster than it could make, thus losing stock prices. And from what I understand, shareholders are always looking for profits rather than the company's sustainability and competitiveness in the market. So seeing Intel's downfall in terms of revenue and margins, The shareholders had him removed. And the whole stepping down statement was a ploy. I hope Intel comes back soon, because as long as there's no competition in the market, the users won't be benefited as much as they would in a competitive market.
