The Crypto User Base Is Changing

Hello everyone. How are you all doing? I hope things are well for all of you. I wanted to talk about the market again. Yes, I have been talking about the market for the past few weeks and months and I would like to draw your attention to it again. Mainly, I want to describe the overall mood in the market and to clarify who is actually in the market and who is just watching. I have been trying to keep up with the news and what I saw isn't that much fun for people like us, normal people. So the ground reality is that the user base is changing. And the other bit of reality is that crypto is very much mainstream now. It is not just a niche thing that many don't believe exists, rather it is now an integral part of the financial system.

If you actually literally look around, you will see that that excitement regarding crypto and during a crypto bull market is not the same as it was before. People around you who never used it used to ask how is it going because it would have been so much trendy over the news but now is that the case? I don't think so. It feels like people don't care about crypto anymore. But there is a very deep reason for that. As I said earlier, the user base is changing. Before and traditionally, the investors of crypto were regular people, you and me. But this time around that's not the case. Now, less and less individual investors are getting in, while more and more financial institutions are getting in. There's almost seems like stuff like Wall Street, NASDAQ are taking over crypto. Crypto is no longer completely detached from the real world financial markets, rather now has become a part of it. Big institutions are buying up more and more of crypto through the ETFs which were introduced throughout the last year. And of all the individual investors some are already investing through those same ETFs. So the number of people who go on to exchanges and use their own savings or leftover money to buy some random crypto and think that “Maybe this will pump and I will get rich” is decreasing.

This is a huge paradigm shift in the crypto market. And this is just the start. Soon more ETFs on more coins will launch and institutional investors will be buying up more and more crypto as prices rise. As some of them regard BTC on the same pedestal as gold. If this goes on crypto will not remain a “sudden pump and I got rich” type place. Rather it will be more mature and price increases will be more steady and slow just like Wall Street. Because the people who are buying are from Wall Street.
