Technology with its way of helping people and that's why I could actually write on this prompt cos initially I was thinking about it that what is deepfake technology.

No matter how helpful technology is and has become useful to us as human, there will be some bad users who would actually utilize it for bad intentions and that's where the negative side usage of deepfake technology comes in. Some purposely use it for malicious content to trick and deceive people, some uses it for the purpose of passing out so-called credited but false information out to the public.
The worse of it is using the image of a well known person with the intention of destroying the person's reputation and image or to promote their bad innovation to satisfy their own selfish interest without the consent of this person in particular.
I recollect a time where a popular hip-hop singer was seen in a video promoting an app for people to sign up and to earn from and you know based on his reputation and popularity, I know people would have been downloading the app and started signing up on it for usage.
At the end of the day, they won't get any money from it and just realized they wasted their data and time and might then go back online to drag the popular artist they saw his video endorsing and promoting the app.
Unknowingly to them, it was an AI model video that made use of this popular artist's facial features and voice to make the promotional video and tricking the public. How many people does the artist wanna explain this to unless they are able to detect it themselves.
What made me see for myself that it wasn't a real video because I would have also downloaded the app and sign up as well due to my thirst for a virtual income but something hit me from the video which made me realize it wasn't real and that's the movements in the video which seems unnatural.
Not that deepfake technology is all about being bad and all negative but it also has the positive part that we can make use of because deepfake technology is something I had also gotten involved in recently.
It started with me seeing a friend who post content videos and pictures of which I realized that are AI made and I had to also go into it to learn about it. Infact I paid to get the full fact from her.
Then I started with making with making different pictures of myself and interested persons in outfits we might not even be able to afford in real life. Guess you might be thinking we were living a fake life, lol but that isn't the main purpose anyway cos it had helped people have their birthday photoshoots that they can't even afford the free time to go for physically.
With this same deepfake technology, I have also been able to make promotional videos for my art brand which I see as a very good and great side of the innovation because its not until you get to meet with media personnel anymore before you can be able to make a marketing measure for your products or the service you render as long as the face of the person you're using is aware of this or better still make use of yourself being the face behind the scene of the good service.
So, no matter what and how bad people may tend to use it for malicious purposes, it still has it's good side of which it can be used for and that makes it a balance side to help determine who the user is based on the usage of the deepfake technology.
