RE: MY FAVORITE LOCAL DISH -- HIVE LEARNERS CONTEST FOR WEEK 3 EDITION 3

in Hive Learners4 years ago

It is something very new for me. I would like to eat it some day. Looking soooooo delicious. The step by step guide with images makes cooking easier.

I wanna know one thing though. What do you add as seasonings? And is there any special kind of leaves that we are supposed to use for wrapping?

In my country Nigeria, we have leaves for wrapping food. That is the one to use. Otherwise, some leaves go very soft or attempt to melt when to hey stay long in boiling water. But when the leaf meant for wrapping is used, 45 minutes or even two hours boiling has no effect on it.
There are different seasoning, I use different types depending on the food. Here in Nigeria, we have a blend of different dry leaves/spices that forms seasoning ( e.g I have at home, a blend of cumin, flax seed, fenugreek, bassil, cadamon, rosemary, ginger, garlic, black seed, currianda and cynamon). All in one. I use it in little quantity. We also have Knorr cubes, maggi cubes, ama wonder, kitchen glory etc as seasonings here in Nigeria.
What do you use?
