RE: Is Easy Access to Knowledge a Blessing or a Curse? - The Modern Dilemma

in Hive Learners4 months ago

There is surely a grest difference between knowledge and wisdom. The fact is that the modern education system is more focused on giving knowledge than giving wisdom.

To cultivate wisdom one needs to do more contemplation which is pretty hard while being exposed to distractions offered by the internet.

The worst kind of content people are increadingly become addicted to is short video content. People think that theysre acquiring information and knowledge but the truth is that they merely devastate their cognitive abilities.

I don't say that the use of knowledge from internet is all bad. We just need to be extra careful about what we consume.

It is horrible, it is the reason why I hate both the short and like, Instagram content, all those videos, simply seem garbage that damages the brain of the most weak minds.

It takes a lot of education, and that people learn to have more critical thinking, to question things before accepting them blindly.

With the bombardment of information, and the instant gratification that we obtain from the short content has nearly deprived us of critical thinking. That's the irony of the day.

What leads me to the conclusion that comes many years ago: as a species we are going to extinguish for not having critical thinking, because when a predator who thinks more critically and better that we find us, our existence will end.

Natural history explains it like this, and I don't think humans are exception.
