This can happen not only with cigarettes but with other things as well, like alcohol or many other things. Nowadays, you will often see this addiction related to a mobile phone. If you do not touch your mobile phone for some time, then you feel a different kind of restlessness. Here, I will not say that this happens with everyone, but often we all go through all these kinds of problems.

Look, no matter what kind of habit it is, you can get rid of it. You just need to know how to get rid of it and be aware of its adverse effects. If you think too much about its adverse effects, then you start worrying about it, and you automatically start giving it up. Some people in our office drink heavily on weekends or whenever there is a party. Some people consume alcohol very sparingly, while others are used to drinking a lot. But now, for some time, I am seeing a change in them because they have understood that all this is wrong and it only harms them. When you consume alcohol, many people quit when they know that they have reached their limit, but some people are unable to control themselves, and even after that, they do some such activities, after which they regret it the next day.
Look, if you're consuming any kind of substance and you're completely sober, then you're a different kind of person. If you're completely immersed in something, completely overwhelmed, then you become a different kind of person. When a person is intoxicated, they do things they wouldn't be able to do without it, and they gain a kind of courage. I've often seen this. After that, we see a sense of power within them, a different kind of confidence. But to be honest, addiction to anything is always wrong. Tell me, whatever it is, some people are addicted to alcohol, some people are addicted to money, and they'll go to any lengths to earn money. Some people have addictions related to women, and some people get involved in various kinds of addictions and want to keep revolving around them. Look, if you can break free from all these things, you save a lot of time, and you can do other things as well.

See, as much as I understand, you can give up any kind of addiction; you just have to distance yourself from those things that attract you towards that thing or motivate you to do that thing. If your friends drink alcohol and you go and drink with them, then you should stop going with them. I will not say that you break your relationship with them. If you want to be with them, then you should control yourself and refuse to drink alcohol, no matter what conditions they put before you, because you know that it is harmful for you. When you know all these things, then you can become free from any kind of addiction.
