I love art, probably due to its unique and fascinating nature. Mostly when we talk about art, the first thing that comes to people's minds is drawing in respect to fine art, but then majorly, or holistically, art is life.
Art is our imprint, our signature, and our perspective of how life and everything in it should be. It becomes really beautiful when we meet like minds that share in our school of thoughts. And even at that, no two artists can produce the exact same work; no two artists or people can also be expressive at the same level as we all have where we excel.
Basically, we are all artists but just because @afriken draws doesn't mean I should draw too. I might relate perfectly to her art and still be bad at it because that's not my area of being expressive.
I remember when I started off crocheting courtesy of @abenad; while I could crochet, the color blending, styles, and designs were an issue for me to incorporate in my works, but there was Abenad, who does all this effortlessly.
There were also times when I came across @merit.ahama singing on here, and I'd exclaim what a voice. You know I saw people dancing, painting, and drawing, especially back then in secondary school during fine art class and talent shows. You see, back then during fine art class, an object would be placed in front of the class, and on a table for all of us to draw. It could be a flower vase with flowers in it. Whatever it was , we all got to draw from where we were seated, and for some it got really difficult getting all the edges from their viewpoint, but they managed to create something beautiful; that was talent.
Meanwhile, there were those who, despite their great viewpoint, ended up drawing nonsense. For people like me who can maneuver any situation, I drew something nice, but then bringing it to life with shades and contour became the herculean task where I didn't do well.
Growing up, I had always felt like the least talented amongst my peers. I couldn't do any of the basic talents like dancing, singing, and drawing. At a point, I started to feel some sense of inferiority creep in, but then as an explorer of life, I soon realized the beauty of not all fitting in one box. And even though we are all artists, we are exceptional in what we create. Thus, if one produces a bad art in an area, there are most certainly other areas where they can create beautiful art work.
It is worth noting that the number one trick to being an exceptional artist is to be unique; which means finding that activity that ignites a spark to create a fire burning in you.
The other day one of my onboardees texted me on WhatsApp explaining why he couldn't follow up with Hive. According to him, Hive is difficult, and the writing requires a unique writing style. I mean, this is something that comes to some of us effortlessly, but then there is someone finding it difficult to put words on screen.
What was most unfortunate in his plight was that he's not aware and didn't bother to explore the diversity of hive. The thing is, we are not all writers, for there are vloggers and developers here. There are fine artists, and I'm sure if he looked well enough, he could have seen where he fitted in or created a niche for himself. And that is just art: finding and discovering your niche such that it flows, and when it flows outwardly without blocks to become reality, then you have created art in your frequency and unique style.
@abenad come and teach me how to crochet na. Abi bipolar you will teach me?
We are all unique in our way; we all just have to find ourselves, as you have mentioned. I, too, will find my niche..
I think your analysis and the way you're encouraging others are very accurate. A very motivating reflection. Thank you!
