2025 has been a really strange year. So many things have happened so far, and so many things are still happening. It’s almost like yesterday when the year started, however, it just seems that this year has decided to be the year that so many things just get worse. Not for me, but for the country as a whole. And the economy as well.
We’ve always had an issue with bandits and terrorists, but this is the year that they got bolder to the point of going on livestreams to brag about their exploits and show off their ill-gotten proceeds online. We’ve always had the issue of repentant terrorists and bandits being reintegrated into society, but this is the year where they’re even allowed into the very military that they had killed so many members of.

And then, we’ve had dips in the past before, but this is the year that we’re getting one of the worst hits ever. So many people didn’t see it coming, and right now, Hive is at an all-time low. How then can we cope when everything seems to be going crazy around us? What exactly are we supposed to do to be able to make do? That’s the question on everyone’s minds.
But alas, this is not about the country, but about me and my achievements for the year. It’s been a really great year for me in terms of achievements. One of my resolutions for 2025 was to be more outgoing, and I did it. Or I’m doing it! I’ve made so many trips this year that I can’t even keep track, and thanks to this, I’ve been able to meet up with personalities that I previously only ever saw on my phone screen.

From Eric Gugua, to Kagan Tech, and even Salem King and MC Lively… I met all these people this year alone. This was also part of the reason I was motivated to return to social media and to build my brand. I got that epiphany sometime in August, and I’ve been trying to post consistently since then. Growth has been a bit slow, but it’s definitely been coming on. I’m just growing my accounts, doing the very thing that I love: telling stories and talking about the movies and shows that I watch.
This was also the year that I got to meet some notable individuals and made some really cool friends, who are also looking to take the idea of content creation seriously as well. And having such a community like that, using it to motivate each other and keep firing on all cylinders, it’s been worth it to keep posting. And now, about two months later, I’m learning more and more about sharing my voice and showing up consistently to project a brand.

And then, how can I forget Data Analysis? This was also the year I decided to add that skill to my list of skills, something to back up my writing. At first, I did it all on my own, learning it on Udemy and using YouTube to follow up. But later on, for personal reasons, I decided I also needed a certificate from a prominent school, and that’s what I’m working on right now. So, I’m learning the skill all over again, and getting better.
This has been a great year of learning for me. This time three months ago, I didn’t know anything about video editing, but now I can almost do the basics in my sleep. And I know that if I have a need to do something complex, it would only be a matter of time before I master that as well. This has been a year of learning, collaborations, hell, I even got on my first podcast ever! Can you imagine???
If there is one thing I’ve learned so far, it’s that the only limitations we have are the ones we place on ourselves. The ones we decide we can’t overcome. And I chose to stop saying no to myself and the things I wanted. And when next year rolls around, I’ll simply go harder. I’ll go out more, meet more people, and get even more serious with my content creation.
There is so much to be done, but I’m just getting started.
