Sometimes I wonder, can humans ever truly be happy? Like, is it possible to have lasting happiness that never really ends? We just have things going so well for us, working in perfect harmony, without us having to feel any hint of sadness. If we ever get to that point in our lives, can we really be content? Or are we just going to always be solving problems, jumping obstacles all through our lives?
I’m trying to think of a life of happiness, a life without any problems. You see, we humans have come to believe that something like that is impossible because, as long as you’re alive, problems will always come your way. Hell, we also believe that you can’t really grow unless you get better at solving the problems in your life. But the thing is, humans are the problem of humans.
Whatever problem it is that you’re going through right now, no matter how complex or crazy it is, you’ll find out that to a very large extent, a human being is responsible. From greed to corruption, and whatnot, a lot of the things we go through will be avoided if every human being simply did what they were supposed to do. Life would be so much easier like that.
In the animal kingdom, the hierarchy is set, and every animal has their place. They know what to do at whatever season they are in, and if they need to migrate, they know where to migrate to and how to get there. As an animal, it’s easy to find happiness in the routine and mundanities of being an animal. But then, as humans, can we find happiness in the routine of being humans? We really can’t, because the moment we try to get accustomed to one thing, something else comes along and knocks the ground out from under us.
And as a result, we’re always wary. We’re always on the lookout for rainy days, we don’t know where or when, but we know that they’ll surely come. As a matter of fact, there is usually a point where things will get so good for you and it will be so for such a long time, you’ll begin to expect it to go bad. Just like when NEPA brings the light and leaves it for hours and hours, even when it’s raining cats and dogs, and you just know that soon enough, the transformer will blow!
Growth is impossible without problems, because the more problems you solve, the more you learn. And as you grow, you become a better individual and a more valuable member of society. I just wish that we didn’t need problems to grow. But then, the problems we overcome today prepare us for the problems that tomorrow will bring our way.
So, that’s exactly the life of a human being. A truly accomplished human life is one where problem after problem was overcome, over and over again. Because problems never stop coming, we don’t stop solving them. And even today, that’s a Sunday, I’m sure we have one gnawing problem just begging for our attention that once we deal with it, would take us a bit higher up the ladder and make us stronger.
Well, it is what it is.

I think the definition of happiness is different for each person, and naturally the expectation is also different. If you ask me, I think I am very happy person. It doesn't mean I don't face any problems. I also face problems, but I take it casually and accept it as part of life, and I know that it's possible to find a solution if I keep myself calm. Happiness is a mindset, in my opinion, and you can also get it if you have a positive mindset.

There will always be a solution to every problem that you find yourself saddled with, so yeah, the mindset is very impprtant. Because how you approach the problem says a lot about who you are as a person.

Sometimes, it feels like happiness is a mirage that we keep chasing after it without ever getting close to it .. like a tunnel vision .
And the story never ends, problem comes and problem solved till we meet the one that never gets solved... Such is life
How I also wish we never needed problems to grow, what a beautiful place it would have been but then again, we might begin looking for problems to make life interesting,lol
Humans are just Humans
That's the thing, even when we no longer have problems, we'll go looking for other problems. If we had all the money in the world to solve whatever problems come our way, we'll go out of our way to look for some more. Whether deep in the sea or up in space.
I guess that's still what makes life fun, lol
