Relationships are more like a trial to see if two persons can accommodate each other in the future. If it doesn't go well, then both parties split ways. If your friend has gotten his heart broken, he should sulk as much as he wants and then try again. Tell your friend not to reduce his moral because of a failed relationship. I'm sure when he finds another partner, he'll be glad this one didn't work out.
As for your womanizing friend... I have no words for him. He should deal with his insecurities tho.
