I've been waiting for this opportunity to really tell you all how I feel. For a while now I've been thinking if blogging really is my thing. Now, the @hive-learners Community have given me a chance to open up with this week's Edition Blogging Experience

First time experience

I've never actually blogged before hive. I had been in no way interested in writing, ohh well, I wrote some dark stories about how I felt and some fictions in a note I got but I didn't think it was good enough. I never thought that I'll ever find myself in a place where I'll be writing to earn

Joining hive was a big leap of faith for me, I thought to myself "why not give a try??", and I did give it a try. It wasn't easy because I didn't have any prior experience with writing. I was surprised I didn't stop after the first two weeks, I tried pushing myself, maybe the thought of getting paid was the drive.

After a month of writing weird things ( I really have a good sense of humor) and not getting much upvotes. I finally confessed to myself that I suck and I'm never blogging again. I stayed away for a while and then one day I decided to read to read someone's post and I got captivated. Then I thought to myself, if she can do it, you might as well try.

The first step in blogging is not writing them but reading them

Jeff Jarvis

So with this in mind I came back more determined, read a lot more posts from better bloggers. @Mineopoly helped a great deal with his lessons, @samsmith1971 was big on encouragement and @dreemsteem gave me tips on how to make it here. This amazing people actually aided my blogging experience.

How it's going now

I've had a lot of people react shocked when they heard that I'm blogging now. They didn't think the talented dancer would also be a talented writer. But look at me now, I'm doing the most, I've not won a Grammy on blogging yet but I'm doing a lot better than I was before.

20220407_143059.jpgyeah, quite surprising

My writing has improved a great deal, it doesn't take me ages to look for inspiration before writing, I just start writing and it goes smoothly, words just keep pouring out from nowhere, I can boldly call myself a blogger now. The growth has been phenomenal with the help of Hive, there's still a lot to learn and I'm ready to go all the way.

My blogging process

Well, I don't have a PC like my main man @nelson-george does but then I have something else, something that would blow your mind. Ohh shit, I forgot a picture of my phone is just right below, hahaha. But, I'm sure it still blew your mind, if it didn't then...let's move on.

PicsArt_04-07-02.52.35.jpgMy baby

I do all my blogging on my phone, it's actually quite helpful, even though sometimes it gets tiring and it hangs a lot. My phone doesn't have enough storage space so it gets overwhelmed sometimes, but I love my baby, she still ends up delivering me.

First of all if I get a prompt or I get inspiration to write, I just go straight to my Note on my phone and I start writing, I just let it flow. All my writing so far has been done here, it's quite easy and notifies me of spelling errors.

IMG_20220407_145418.jpgMakes life easier

When I'm done editing I go straight to my gallery to look for any of my original pictures that depict what I want to post about, sometimes I do that before writing. If I find any of my original pictures worthy, I go straight to my editing apps and work wonders on them. I make use of Picsart the most because my phone can't actually carry Canva, it messes with my phone's activities.

PicsArt_04-07-03.16.19.jpgPicsart, Pixellab and Pix something

If I can't find any, I go straight to a site that allows you to use pictures for free then I download them. @peakD actually makes the posting process easier, I proof read on peakD to look for errors a nd add all the images. It's quite easy and fast, unlike before it takes me less than 30minutes to draft a good post but I could use more than that if I want to create an amazing post. I like to take my time.

That's how my blogging experience has been so far, it's sailing smoothly. If you're a newbie and you're thinking of quitting, I implore you not to yet. Give it more time, learn from other authors who have more experience and do well to engage with a lot more people, you'll find how natural and easy it'll be for you.

Agreed. Compensation is a good motivator. And being appreciated by others is another. On top of that, we have the unique opportunity of sharing our thoughts/knowledge/experience to people willing to read/listen/see what we post.

As you wrote, learning is necessary to improve our understanding. Otherwise, our posts could become foolish/dull/repetitive and void of new discoveries.

You said it way better than I would have ever. They're things that keep us going and compensation is one of them, another is being to impact other's lives one way or the other through our thoughts and experiences.

Learning never ends and surely is something we need to engage in on a daily..

I appreciate your comment @fernandoylet it was well written ❤️✅

Nice tool. I might give them a try on phone although I prefer using laptop for blogging.

The first step in blogging is not writing them but reading them.

Indeed.

Sure, it's quite convenient to use a laptop, but since I don't own one, my phone is my better option.

Of course!!!.

This is more informative than you might think. I do most of my writing on a desktop, but there are sometimes I wish I could get more out of my smart phone. PeakD works well with Hive but it works best with desktop. I use picart and inshot on my smart phone for editing. Is the "note" on your phone from peakD? Is that in the browser or is there some app I am missing?

I get what you mean and I'll surely love to experience peakD on a desktop or laptop. But then I'll have to wait a while to be able to get one. The experience with smart phone isn't all that bad, but it's a little limiting..

Nicee, you're the first person who actually uses picsart with me, I use inshot mostly for my video editing but it's great for pictures too..

No Note actually came with my phone .I think every phone has an app where they can jot things down..

Thanks for your comment @mineopoly ❤️✅

The way you guys enjoy using phone, I will have to resume it.
Because I just find it tiring, but working with laptop has its own limitations as well seeing as it can't be carried about like the phone.
I will try making my next post with my phone, see if I've still got what it takes.
Thank you for sharing this with us.

Lol, sure everything has it's own limitations, even the phone gets tiring especially when it hangs.
We don't enjoy it that much but we don't have a luxury of owning a laptop yet so we have to make use of what we have.
.I'm looking forward to that post, haha.
Thank you for your warm comment @bruno-kema ❤️❤️✅✅
