Is all about choice

Good day, amazing people of the Hive Blockchain. Welcome back to my blog. It is another edition in the #hivelearners community. I am so delighted to participate in this week's prompt, organ market.

Selling of human organs is banned nationwide. I am so glad that trading of human organs is banned nationwide. When it comes to law, it is not everyone that keeps the law; there are some sets of individuals that trade this organ in the black market. Some set of people are into the organ market full-time; they see it as a business. I don’t joke; they go as far as killing and kidnapping people. I always ask myself this question: who are they selling this organ to, and what are those people using the organ for?

Seeing this prompt, I remember that my cousin escaped death in the hands of these organ sellers. According to her, the slaughter people are like cows without mercy, and what shocks her is that buyers are always available to buy these organs and at high prices. In our society now things are happening; that is why one needs to be careful of places they go. We have seen in the news and on social media where, after harvesting an organ, the person will be dumped on the street.

Recently people now sell their own organs as a means of saying goodbye to poverty, and when they are questioned, all they can say is they have every right to sell any part of their body if need be. Here comes the big question: should this be allowed? This is a very critical question. If I must say so, nobody will ever want to sell their organ if things are going well with them. The thought of selling an organ comes to mind when life is tough and there is no help from anyone; all that will come to mind is to sell off one organ to someone in need of it.

Like I said earlier, there is nobody who will want to sell his organs, but there are situations you will see yourself in where selling your organs becomes the only solution. That is why people will always say, 'What is the need of having two organs? Why can't they survive with one?' My prayer for everyone is let life not push us to a point of selling our organs.

I don’t see anything bad if someone decides to donate their organ as far as the negotiations are okay by the donor and the donor is fully aware and taken care of. I have no problem with it; in a way, it is also a means of saving life.

When it comes to our body, we have every right to do what you what with it,we want but we should never be forced to sell our organs.

This is my response to the weekend prompt #hivelearners #hl-w193e2 topic: organ market.

Thank you for stopping by in my blog. I appreciate your comments, support and upvotes. Do have a lovely day.

Selling of organs is a tricky situation, there are things about humans that are considered sacred. Anyone can do whatever they want with their body but it becomes an issue when it becomes life threatening. That is why suicide is considered a crime in some countries. It might be lawful for an individual to sell their organs but it is ethically wrong because such things should not be considered a commodity or source of income.
